Trust

What we claim, and how we earn it.

Trust in a clinical company is earned in specifics. This page sets out how PERIOME makes claims, how the protocol is made, and where each part of PERIOME stands today.

How we make claims

Evidence before claims.

PERIOME is building a clinical company, and the standard for what we say is the evidence we have.

These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

  • Structure and function onlyThe PERIOME Protocol is a dietary supplement. We make no claim that it prevents, treats or cures any disease, or that it reduces complications or improves surgical outcomes.
  • Evidence firstWhere the evidence does not exist yet, we say so. PERIOME has published no clinical outcomes.
  • Your surgical team firstNothing PERIOME makes replaces your surgical team's guidance, including their fasting and medication instructions.
  • Plain statusThe Protocol is not yet shipping: a launch list is open, and ordering opens when production is complete. Morton™ is in pilot. Measurement is in development, and the PRI framework is a proposal: illustrative only and not a diagnostic.

Working with institutions

Governance an institution can review.

Health systems should be able to see how PERIOME works before they work with it. This is what we commit to today; certifications and integrations will be listed here only when they exist.

  • Clinical governancePERIOME is physician-founded and physician-led. In an implementation, clinical governance, scope and escalation are agreed with the institution's own clinical leadership before the first patient enrolls.
  • Patient safetyThe surgical team's instructions come first. Morton sends scripted prompts and routes clinical questions to the patient's care team; it is not a monitoring service.
  • Privacy and consentHow information is used is set out in our privacy policy. Using what a patient shares to help the field learn depends on that patient's permission.
  • Data stewardship and securityData handling, security and permissions for each implementation are documented and agreed through the institution's own legal, compliance and security review before launch.
  • Research oversightResearch uses of patient information are agreed with partner institutions in advance and follow the oversight each study requires.
  • Deployment and integrationBasic use needs no EHR build, portal integration or new clinical staff. Deeper integration is scoped with each institution after the first cohort.
Discuss a founding implementation

How the protocol is made

Made to a clinical standard.

Formulated for the surgical window by board-certified anesthesiologists. Made in a U.S. facility that is FDA-registered and cGMP- and NSF-certified. Facility registration is not FDA approval of the product.

Every ingredient was screened for antiplatelet, anticoagulant, glycemic and hemodynamic interaction risk, and reviewed for compatibility with commonly used anesthetic agents. That review does not replace your surgical team's judgment. Share your full medication list with them before you start.

Independence

No borrowed credibility.

The Perioperative Health Council is independent of PERIOME's products. It does not endorse them, and appointment to it is not a testimonial.

PERIOME names no partners, institutions or endorsements it does not have.
